The University of Ottawa Heart Institute is one of Canada’s premier cardiovascular research and treatment centres, and Carroll spoke to an audience of nurses, clinicians, and health professionals on the front lines of patient care. His presentation explored how bioconnectivity — the integration of real-time monitoring, wearable sensors, mobile health devices, and predictive analytics — was building toward a future of truly preventative cardiovascular care, where warning signs were detected long before a clinical event occurred.
